“You must never feel badly about making mistakes ... as long as you take the trouble to learn from them. For you often learn more by being wrong for the right reasons than you do by being right for the wrong reasons.” ―
Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth

Healthy School

As an accredited Healthy School we not only provide healthy and nutritional food in our dining room, but we have an excellent allotment growing fresh, seasonal produce throughout the year. The produce is farmed by our children under the guidance of our expert gardener, Frank and used by our talented chef, Mokhtar and his team.

When making packed lunches for children we encourage parents to consider healthy snack options such as fresh or dried fruit, vegetable sticks and yoghurts. We also ask that they avoid sending pupils in with large bars of chocolate or bags of sweets or crisps.

Drinking water and remaining adequately hydrated is essential for healthy living and productive learning. Every pupil has their own water bottle to ensure they have sufficient to drink throughout the day. Discrete drinking is allowed in lessons when the teacher considers it safe to do so.
